  I AM TRYING TO CREATE A NEW HEADING WITH THE HOME PAGE WHERE I CAN ADD MY RECENT POSTS BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO DO IT

  Hi,

  I suggest you to set a custom menu: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

  This way, you can add several different types of menu items to your custom menu, including posts.
