  can i contact wordpress directly. i dont want 3 million fucken answers from everyone all over the place?

  I’m sorry to hear that you feel like this for all the volunteers that are trying to help you with your issue.

  When you delete a theme, content like posts, pages, images, banners, plugins data, widgets will stay in database and can be recovered once you connect new theme with your website. But all custom changes in theme will be lost when you delete it. Custom changes are those changes which you did in your theme files header, footer, pages, etc.

  In any case, it’s important to create a complete WordPress backup when you are making a major change like switching themes, installing plugins, or importing/exporting data.

  yeah thanks for that but wordpress deleted my theme and now cant get it back and doesnt show in themes menu, yet has reference to it. and it didnt back up. ridiculous. im now having to do a full site rebuild. really pissed.
