Hello,
Can you change custom picture to display slide show to show on home page only instead of static picture on every page
You can, yes! With Academica, every post assigned a certain tag and given a featured image will be displayed in the Featured Content Slider on the home page of your site.
In Customizer Featured Content, enter the name of a tag you would like to use for featured posts. Once you’ve saved your changes, posts marked with this tag will appear in the featured content slider if they have a featured image.
The Academica theme documentation page has more information:

Thank you, I should also have asked if you can also increase the size of the picture as well?
Many thanks -
You’re welcome!
The slider size is 960px by 300px. It has a fixed height and width so it’s not possible to increase the size of the image.
One option is to explore the possibility of changing the size using Custom Design — a feature of Premium and Business plans. It would give you access to a CSS editor:

The best place for CSS advice is our CSS Customization forum here:

I hope this information helps!
