Theme differences between wordpress.com and self-hosted (Apostrophe 2)
-
Hello!
I made a mock-up of a site using the free hosting on wordpress.com and the Apostrophe 2 theme, and then migrated to a self hosted server. On the site with free hosting, the customisation tab in Apostrophe 2 includes sections labelled ‘colors and backgrounds’ and ‘fonts’.
On the self-hosted site, those two options are missing. Instead there’s just ‘colors’ and ‘background image’, as though I’m using regular Apostrophe, not Apostrophe 2 (I’m definitely using Apostrophe 2). Why are those options missing? Did I somehow stuff up the installation, or is this just a quirk of being self-hosted?
Here’s a comparison screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/CVvrVOI.jpg
I’ve been working on custom CSS to make it pretty again, but there are a few elements on the pages that are stubbornly refusing to change color.
Thanks!

Hi there,
Those options are available for WordPress.com hosted sites only. You can, however, install a plugin like Easy Google Fonts and change fonts on the fly, like on your WordPress.com site.
