theme disappears out of list

hey,
i have one account with a few blogs. in one of them, i see the theme the journalist v1.3 in the theme list, in the other i don’t. even by using the search-box – on one blog it appears, but not so on the other. on one blog i have 105 themes available, on the other only 101…what could be the reason?

same problem with the theme “pressrow”… maybe its helpful tot let you know that the blog with 105 themes is older than the one with 101 themes…

This August WP removed Cutline. Now they are about to remove Pressrow, and apparently The Journalist v1.3, Sandbox 0.6.1, and Sandbox 1.1 will follow. So these four themes are no longer available in newly created blogs (since August or September).

nnnnnnnooooo, thats really sad because this was the reason i signed up…is there the possibility that i get the journalist v1.3 design anyway by using custom css? love the black bars and the font was even more my taste…

If you have the Custom CSS upgrade for the blog in question (remember upgrades are per blog, not per user), you can pretty much style your blog from scratch with CSS and the Sandbox 1.6.1 theme, as well as modifying other themes, but you can’t change the underlying HTML.
But even without the Custom CSS upgrade, there’s really quite a wide choice of themes available and new ones being added all the time. I’d browse and preview your blog in different themes to see if there really isn’t another one that works for you.
By the way, you can also use TypeKit to customize your blog’s fonts.

thanks for your answer. i ordered the custom css and i’m searching for a theme to modify, but have already an important question:
i like the twentyten, but i don’t like, that the archive or categorie folders only show text – is there the possibility to show text AND corresponding pictures? same problem with theme “structure”..

The main font in Journalist 1.3 is Georgia; see here for other themes that use the same font:

ok, but i don’t really understand how to do that (unfortunately can’t find helpful links in german) – can i use the excerpt box also if i only have the css-upgrade? because my blog is NOT launched on an extern server and i can’t change the html/php…sorry, but it’s all new to me..
