Theme does not seem to work on my site

    I have tried and tried and tried to change to this theme, and although it shows that the theme is active when I go to view site, it continues to show the Intergalatic theme and for the life of me I can’t seem to get another theme to load.
    Perhaps it has to do with migrating the site from WP.com to WP.org?
    Hosting with Bluehost and even jetpack doesn’t seem to be working correctly.
    Any ideas?

    I have attempted to contact live chat w/both support here at WP and Bluehost.
    Of course it’s the weekend and everyone is out doing fun things instead of stressing over a website, like myself…lol

    Hi Tara,

    I’m currently seeing the Twenty Fourteen theme active when visiting hiddenlotustarot.com. Were you able to switch themes from Intergalactic in the end?

    It can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less) for new information about a domain to propagate throughout the web.

    The resulting propagation time may have led to you being redirected to the old admin area for hiddenlotustarot.com and, therefore, may have been the cause of the trouble you noted.

    If you’re still having trouble, please try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies (we have guidance on how to do that here) and then try accessing your admin area again at hiddenlotustarot.com/wp-admin.

    Let us know how you get on with that or if anything else comes up.

    Hi Siobahn (sp).

    Thank so much for the speedy response.
    I had to revert back to the Intergalatic theme as I could not seem to get the Flounder theme to take (not sure if that’s because it doesn’t work well with CoursePress or not).
    Nevertheless, I will wait until tomorrow to contact support for the 2wk guided transfer assist.
    But first thing, butt crack of dawn…I will be contacting BlueHost.

    Hi Tara,

    Is hiddenlotustarot.com the site you’re working with? I ask because I’m seeing Twenty Fourteen, not Intergalactic or Flounder, active on that site. If you can clarify in your next support request (whether that’s as a reply to this thread or a live chat) then that’ll be great.

    Hi Siobahn.

    Looks as though the issue was my own ignorance, in that I was not aware that I had to download the Flounder theme for install!
    In the end, I had to switch over to the Twenty Fourteen theme as the Intergalatic was NOT looking good on mobile. Once I downloaded and installed Flounder, it only had the option for one menu, not two, so I ended up ditching that theme as well.
    All-in-all, this has been a great learning experience.

    There’s definitely a learning curve associated with getting set up on a new site, but I promise it’s worth it. :)

    If you decide to switch back to Intergalactic and want to troubleshoot the reason it doesn’t look good on mobile (it should look good by default) then feel free to post to the theme’s WordPress.org forum here:
