Theme doesn't seem to work

I am using the Ideation and Intent theme; however, on my blog it doesn’t appear like the example. In the example, the featured post has a large photo and then another sidebar of photos. On my blog, the feature is the gravatar and there is no second column of photos. Can you explain what the reason is? Is it because I need to pay for a custom sidebar? Thanks for your help.

I’ve got 2 blogs and the message automatically put the scribbler and scribe one as the blog I needed help with but it’s really http://evccabroad.wordpress.com/
The theme has 3 columns, the first being the post, the second being the featured photos, and the third being the widgets. In the blog that we’re using, there is no photo column. Also, the featured or most recent post doesn’t appear as in the example of the theme. In the example, there’s the photo as well as the post. In our blog, there’s the avatar and then just the first line of the post.
I’m trying to figure out if it’s because it needs more photos or the 3 column layout only is a result of paying for customization or what? Any help is appreciated!

This has nothing whatsoever to do with purchasing any upgrades. Please consult the theme description and read it fully so your know how the theme is designed to operate. Here’s an excerpt:
Sidebars
A custom Images sidebar has been built into Ideation & Intent. This sidebar will display images from the latest 10 posts that have image attachments. I appreciate your responses but I want to be clear that I have read the theme description several times as well as clicked on all the explanations and that is what has brought me to this forum. Perhaps the theme explanations are clear to you guys as experienced bloggers but I, as a novice, don’t see consistency with the description and what’s on my blog. For ex, does what timethief posted mean that until there are 10 posts with image attachments that no pictures will appear on the sidebar whatsoever? Because there are none currently though we’ve only got 3 posts and 2 photo attachments. Also, according to the theme description ” The latest post uses a special template which displays the title, a large featured image, excerpt, and, the author’s Gravatar” and “Each subsequent post uses a very minimal template that displays a small version of the featured image, the post’s title, and meta information about the post” which is not the case on my current blog as per my second message. Thanks.
