Theme Editing

  Am I able to edit the theme layouts on my page? For example, my theme main page shows pictures on the left, with the writing on the side. When I click on the picture, it takes me to the articles I have written within each category. Instead of having me click and taking me to the articles, can I click on the picture and have it take me to a page where I can have a gallery of pictures?
