theme editor and code issues

  Hi, i cannot access theme editor anywhere. The reason why i need to do this is because the code i have in for the calculators only work on desktop. In the preview bar for mobile they appear functional but do not work in practice. It just shows as long lines of code. So i need to get into the php and upload extra code to the functions.php file.

  Any ideas? i have scoured the web all day and cannot find a fix, cleared cache etc so this seems like the only thing to do.

  the code you use on the wordpress.com platform is very limited.
