Theme help

I really like this theme, however I don’t want to use any widgets yet the sidebar is still there and the width isn’t 100%. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to fix it. I’ve tried everything I could find on the internet yet it doesn’t change anything. Also I was wondering how I take out the white and just have the content area just be transparent.

Can you please let us know which site you need this theme?
Because the theme you are referring is org theme and if you want to make site with WordPress .com then you need to choose themes under .com platform. You can check the theme here:
https://wordpress.com/themes/WordPress.com forum helps the sites hosted on WordPress.com only
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are both different platforms, you can find more information for this here:

I have the theme on my website. I can’t provide the link because it’s for a school project. I went into the wordpress control panel, then went themes then add new found this theme and liked it apart from the little things I want to change. So does this mean that this is the wrong theme?
