Theme incompatible with PCs

Hi. My new theme works fine on Macs but I just found out it isn’t displaying correctly on PCs. A reader emailed to say only the header shows. Have checked on friends PC and see that the space between header and title/recipe is huge, and without scrolling down one would think nothing is there other than the header. It is a Premium theme and I am wondering why it shows up so differently and how I can sort. I have fewer comments today than I would expect for a new post and am thinking this might be why. Thanks so much.

Further to my enquiry Twitter followers have given me hints when they have checked the blog from their computers. Wondering if problem is the theme’s (in)compatibility with slightly older versions of Windows, W7 and 8? Would love to sort this today. Otherwise I will have to go back to my old theme and get my money back for this one that I really rather like! Thanks in advance for any help.

It looks like you’ve changed your theme. Can you switch your site’s theme back to the one you were using before so that I can take a look and see what’s happening?

Hi Shawn. Yes, I switched it back because it had been awhile and loads of people were saying that there was a problem. I will just go over and switch it to the purchased theme. I hope you see it soon. Thanks so much

It looks like this is a bug with the Bloggy theme. When there is no header image set this blank space appears in Internet Explorer. I’ve reported this to the theme developers and I’ll let you know as soon as it’s fixed.
In the meantime, you can either change your theme or you can add a header image to your site.

Thanks so much Shawn. I will change theme back as I am not good with sizing my pics for header image (unless you know of an easy trick). I would be very grateful to you for letting me know when Bloggy is fixed as it is a great theme!

Depending on how much the size needs to change, you can open your Image in Preview on your Mac. Then go to the Tools menu and select Adjust Size…
The suggested size for the header in Bloggy is 1920 × 470 pixels. If your image isn’t rectangular enough for that, only set one of them. (For example, set the width to 1920 if the height is then greater than 470.)
If one of the dimensions is too big, you’ll be prompted to crop it when you upload the image.
That can be a little complicated, so using another theme is a great alternative. :)
