Theme Installation

    Hi there

    I hope you’re well, i’m trying to install a new theme on my blog but I can’t seem to figure out how to get to my dashboard to edit the theme and insall a new one, all I’m seeing is a section that says ‘my site’ and ‘reader’ but not ‘dashboard’ even when I type ‘wp-admin’ it still takes me to the section where I can edit my profile, manage purchases security etc. Please help really want to change theme.

    Hey there,

    It sounds like you are trying to install a third party theme for a self-hosted WordPress.ORG blog. Third party themes can not be uploaded to a free hosted WordPress.COM blog. They are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    The good news is that WordPress.COM has hundreds of available themes that you can activate (many for free), and they are found under Appearance > Themes
