Theme installation

  Hello I have a question regarding a theme installation. When I did my personal website some years ago I paid a “laytheme” and installed in WordPress directly for free and this time I created a WordPress account for a client bought the licence for “laytheme” for my client as well and wanted to install it in WordPress but they ask me to update my account as business and pay monthly or per year to do that and to use plugin is it the only way ? Before it was for free so I wonder…thank you !!

  Hello,

  Yes now to install the theme of your choice you would need to upgrade to Business plan.

  Rest there are free theme which you can use on your free version.

  Hi there,

  It sounds like last time you were using the open source version of WordPress, made by the community at WordPress.org, on your own server or with another hosting provider.

  On WordPress.com it has only been possible to install your own themes since May 2017, and it has always only been possible to do on our Business Plan.
