Theme Installation Issue
-
I recently started my blog, Think Minimalism, and since then I’ve had a plethora of problems installing a new skin. Whenever I install a new one, something is always slightly off. Whether the menu is oddly close to the title, or something is overlapping in some awkward way, there always seems to be something wrong with the theme when I install it.
Here’s how I install my themes (on a Mac)
1. Download the theme file.
2. Right click the theme’s folder,
3. and click “Compress ‘Folder Name'”.
4. Go to WordPress dashboard,
5. Click “Install themes” and “Upload”,
6. Select the compressed file and click upload. When I do this, the theme uploads. Everything looks great until I actually activate the theme. Most of the theme is there, but there is always some issue with it. One theme, for example, had the header on the bottom, and a post overlapping another.
I’ve tried plenty of different skins, so I’m not sure what the issue is here.
Thanks to anyone who helps me out!

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or any themes into them The themes found on the internet are for wordpress.ORG installs which run on different software.

The correct forum for those who have issues with self hosted WordPress.ORG installs is here > http://wordpress.ORG/support/
