  i need to revert back to the original theme… is that possible? Thank you

  Yes. Changing themes has no effect on the URL and no content is ever lost. You can go here Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and select a theme and activate it as many times as you choose to. This is the link to the Themes Showcase http://theme.wordpress.com/ After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets re-install them where you want them to appear.

  i tried this but it’s not as easy is turning on widgets. i basically need to undo what i did by purchasing a new theme. i need my old theme and purchase a brand new blog. any other suggestions?

  Themes are free on WP.com, you don’t purchase them. What is it you are trying to undo?

  i found another blog that helped me undo my purchase. now i need to refund my theme upgrade and apply to my new blog. thanks for your help! :)

  Your blog is private and we don’t even know which themes are referring to. Please tell us what they are.
