Theme issues

  The 3 oil paintings displayed in the 2021 theme are not going away no matter which theme I live preview or publish

  The site I need help with is theclothespros.wordpress.com.

  Hi there,

  Let me make sure I understand your question correctly.

  Are you having trouble with how to make the three oil paintings disappear on the Twenty Twenty-one theme or are those paintings stay there even when you switch themes?

  The paintings stay there even when I switch themes. I believe some of the other default content as well.

  Thank you for the additional information @jeremysilva2847.

  I tried to replicate what you are experiencing. When I am switching from the 2021 theme to a different theme (I tested with Twenty Twenty) I am presented two options:

  1. Switch theme, preserving my homepage content
  2. Replace my homepage content with the Twenty Twenty homepage.

  If I choose number 1 I experience the same what you are describing. The images and the content stays. If I choose option 2 though they disappear.

  Do you remember what option you chose?

  I only see options for live preview and customize when selecting a theme. I also seem to be missing several customization options in several menus

  Okay. I may have found why are we seeing different things.

  I believe you are using the ‘Classic View’ of the dashboard, and if you switch to the ‘WordPress.com view’ you will see the options I mentioned.

  Look for the Screen Options at the upper right corner of the screen and switch to ‘WordPress.com view’.

  

  

  After that you should be able to see the options I mentioned.

  I hope that helps.

  You can always manually remove the images.

  Hi there,

  The paintings you see are the content of the front page. Changing themes doesn’t change any content on the site.

  To remove those painting, you need to edit the page itself under My Site ->Pages.
