Theme Layout

  • Unknown's avatar

I am looking to add a picture and some more features like my Facebook link, comments section, etc. to the sidebar of the page. I have the “Ever After” theme so I am not sure if this is possible. I would like to mirror this part of it to the Young House Love blog. Do I need to change my theme altogether to have this type of layout?

    Thank you,

    Hi Andrea,

You can read a full description of the Ever After theme (and click through to see a live demo) here: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/ever-after/

Ever After doesn’t have a sidebar, so it isn’t possible to add a sidebar if you’re using that theme. However, it does have four optional footer areas where you can add widgets. You can do that from Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

    Thank you Rachel.

If I do decide that I want a different layout will my information transfer over?

Themes and blog content are not tied together, which means you can switch themes without losing blog content.
