Theme like Pexels.com

  Hi!
  I have been developing websites for a while now and have a lot of content I need displayed. Several hundred similar pages. I’m looking for a theme similar to Pexels.com that allows my content pages to be displayed as images on the front page. The search function (also important) should then only display the images according to the tags of the content pages.
  Is there one I would be able to build on top of? Or would it be preferable just to use PHP to create a site without wordpress?

  Hi there,
  You are referring to a theme we do not have here at WordPress.COM and cannot use. You cannot import any third party theme designed to run on for WordPress.ORG software and use it on any WordPress.COM blog, so do be clear on that.

  The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
  upload any third party themes,
  create child themes,
  create our own themes,
  edit templates,
  create own own layouts,
  or use stylesheets from other themes.

  You cannot upload any third party themes into a WordPress.COM hosted blog so be clear on that. There is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

  WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can create themes, upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database, etc. If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.

  Thanks for your answer.

  I am aware that I can’t get the actual theme from Pexels. I just wanted to know if there was a premium theme that had a similar structure or if I have to build a theme myself from scratch?

  If you do have to build a theme from scratch that cannot be done here at WordPress.COM.
