Theme limitations
-
Hi, I currently have the Gateway theme.. Its very limited to how the heading photo can be cropped and the text within the page is very hard to keep in balance with other text ( some words are a space or so off for others) Also the background limitations.. Biggest prob lem is to have information fit on computer as well as for the cell phone… I know you have lots of themes to pick from but maybe you can narrow the options to give those most like Gateway but with much more freedom. I like the gateway look but just need few more inches of wiggle room to create..

Gateway is a responsive theme so it resizes and repositions the header image based on the screen size to make sure it looks as good as possible on as many different devices as possible. Are there certain screen sizes that you don’t think look as good? If so what sizes/devices and how would you prefer them to look? This should be something we can address with CSS.
As for the spacing issues with your text it looks like you’re using lots of spaces to align some tabular data for upcoming events. This would be better suited to an HTML table.
Here’s an example based on your “Koripalloleirit” page.
<table style="width:100%; border:none;"> <tr> <th>Event</th> <th>Dates</th> <th>Location</th> </tr> <tr> <td>OPEN FREE AGENT CAMP</td> <td>11–13.11.2016</td> <td>Pajulahti, Nastola</td> </tr> <tr> <td>OPEN FREE AGENT CAMP</td> <td>27-30.12.2016</td> <td>Pajulahti, Nastola</td> </tr> <tr> <td>ROOKIE CAMP</td> <td>17–19.3.2017</td> <td>Pajulahti, Nastola</td> </tr> <tr> <td>VET CAMP</td> <td>TBA</td> <td>TBA</td> </tr> <tr> <td>TURNAUSMATKA</td> <td>18–31.5.2017</td> <td>Orlando, Florida</td> </tr> </table>I’ve included some inline CSS to make the table as wide as the post content area and to get rid of an ugly border but once you’re set up you can do as much styling as you’d like.
There isn’t a non-code way of adding tables into your posts or pages at the moment so you’ll have to temporarily switch to the HTML editor but once you get the hang of it you should find it’s pretty simple.
Is there anything else about the theme that you want to change?
