Theme looks different on my mobile than on desktop

Hello,
I’m new to the WordPress world. Creating my blog using the Outdoor Adventure theme through Astra. On my laptop, the theme has that nice scroll feature, where the image stays put in the background and the text scrolls through. When I look at it on my phone (iOS), the background image is there but it doesn’t do the scroll thing. It just looks like these blocks of text.
I did the mobile compatibility checker and it is mobile friendly, but why does it look so different? Any way to change that? Are there any other themes out there that translate better on mobile?
