Theme no longer displaying correctly
-
Hi – the sidebar on my blog’s theme is no longer displaying correctly. I don’t know exactly when it went wrong but I also don’t know of anything that’s changed.
See this screenshot: https://gabrielquotes.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/blog-fault.jpg – on the left is how it should be and used to be, on the right is how it is now. I’ve circled the relevant bits.
Any thoughts?

Hi gabrielinindia,
It looks like some of your CSS got altered somehow.
We’re dealing with the h3 headings in the widget class in this case. You currently have the following:
.widget h3 { margin: 0 0 0 -15px }The widget content is right up against the h3 heading since there isn’t any bottom margin. Try this:
.widget h3 { margin: 0 0 15px -15px }You can adjust the 15px for the bottom margin to your liking.
I’m not seeing any trace of the arrows that you had on the left side of the h3 headings. Did you use an image, or strictly CSS to accomplish that?
Let us know, and we’ll try to help you get back on track!

Hi thisisklove –
Thanks for getting back to me. I didn’t create the theme (it was a premium WordPress theme that I purchased…) so have no idea what produced the arrows in the first place. I would imagine it was images because I can’t think how CSS could have achieved it, but not sure really.
Any advice? (Also: if I need to amend the CSS, does that mean I have to pay for a CSS upgrade, or should WordPress.com do this as I purchased what was originally a working theme?)
Thanks so much for your help so far though!!

It looks like you purchased the Crisp theme from WooThemes. I would recommend that you request support for this issue directly from the WooThemes site. As the creators of the product, they should be able to help you clear up this issue.
Best of luck!

@gabrielinindia
This is not a recommendation. It is a direction to post only to the correct support site for your software in the future please. We provide support here only for blogs hosted by WordPress.COM. We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs here ever. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page -
