Theme not showing comments since latest update

I am working with a website http://www.hsforeningensverige.se and it uses the theme toujours. But since one of the latest updates it does not show comments any more. I have checked in other forums and made sure that all of the boxes for showing comments are checked. The thing is also that if I switch to another theme comments are shown, therefore I thing that something has happened with this theme. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

The self-hosted version of Toujours was last updated in August 2017, as you can see on the theme’s showcase page at https://wordpress.org/themes/toujours/
Are you using Jetpack comments on your site, the built in comments of the WordPress software, or another commenting plugin? It’s possible a software update is not compatible with Toujours. Can you please check if deactivating all plugins on your site make any difference? If it does, then re-activate them one at a time to narrow down which one is causing the problem.
I installed this theme on a self-hosted site running the latest version of WordPress and the comment box shows up fine for me using both built-in comments and Jetpack comments, so I don’t think the problem is with the theme itself.

Thanks! I only have 3 plugins and deactivating them did not help. So, I chose another theme and activated it, then I uninstalled Toujours and installed it again. Now comments work :D
But I don’t know what the problem was though. -
It sounds like there’s a conflict between the theme and one of the plugins. Have you added the plugins back to the new Toujours installation?
Do so one at a time, and see which one breaks the comments.
