Theme options issue

    Hello,

    I tried WP.com support, who directed me towards the creator of my theme, and the creator directed me back towards WordPress. So I am trying here.

    I know the theme I use is discontinued, but my problems doesn’t have anything to do with the theme itself.

    In my theme options, I used to be able to chose which categories I wanted to be featured in the carousel, as well as the middle part.

    Now, I can no longer edit that. Therefore, new categories are not displayed at all.

    The option still exists, but there is no save button at the bottom.

    I tried different browsers, devices and also cleared my cache.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    I understand you cannot save theme settings here and the theme option is not loading properly on that page.

    But as you mentioned the theme has been retired https://wordpress.com/theme/mimbopro/ and was from a third-party author so unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to fix this.

    I recommend checking out the latest WordPress.com themes to see if you like any new themes https://wordpress.com/themes/free/filter/blog/thethirdbar.net, You can create a new free test site to try out new themes and site editor. With the site editor, you can also design your own theme as mentioned here.

    Thanks, will find a new theme. In the meatime I would like to keep my old one, even though its faulty.

    I accidentally switched themes, any way I could have my old reinstalled?

    I have reactivated the mimbopro theme on the site. Could you please check and confirm? Please note that you may have to re-configure theme settings

    It has been reactivated, but is lacking a lot of features.

    As mentioned above you may need to reconfigure the settings, you can check some of the settings (widgets etc) in customize panel here https://thethirdbarcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php

    Yes, theme options aren’t working because the theme might have a bug and it is a retired theme so it cannot be fixed. Thanks for your understanding. Have a great day.
