Theme Options not appearing in customizer

I recently made a dummy site using the Dara theme before making changes to my client’s site. When I applied the theme to my client’s site, I noticed certain areas on the customizer had disappeared, most notably featured content and testimonials. What is the cause of this and how can I fix it?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    Please enable below settings,

Settings > Writing > Content Type > Turn ON radio buttons for ‘Testimonials’ and ‘Portfolio Project’

    Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, content type doesn’t seem to appear under my writing settings. I think the problem may be that jetpack isn’t enabled, but it doesn’t seem to be accepting my username and password to enable it (im an admin not the owner)

Is your client’s site self-hosted with WordPress.org, or hosted on WordPress.com?

If the latter, you should use your (or your client’s) WordPress.com username & password (not the username & password used to log in to the WordPress.org dashboard) to connect Jetpack with WordPress.com.
