Theme or plugin for a vacation rental

    I am looking for a simple and free theme or plugin to manage renting a vacation property. If there is a better place I should be asking this, please point me in the right direction.

    I did some searching but am hoping for some direct recommendations.

    Just to clarify, you’ve posted in the support forums for websites hosted on WordPressdotcom. Many people who post here actually need help for their website using the WordPress software and hosted on 3rd party sites. WordPressdotcom (where we are ) and WordPress are different entities with separate documentation and forums. You can learn more in our support guide at https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Happy holidays Jennifer. Thanks for the clarification. I am on other forums for other activities and honestly, I have found the WordPress world about as unfriendly as I have seen in a while.

    While it is true I am hosting somewhere else (Godaddy), I think my OP is pretty general and should not depend on where my sites live.

    I did also post on the WordPress.org support forums. They don’t even have a Themes or plugin forum section. So I posted in “everything else”. Seems they didn’t like that so they moved my post to an even more obscure area. I was told my question was not a support question which seems pretty ridiculous to me.

    People ask for recommendations all the time on other forums.

    Anyway, I have muddled through on my own, like I always do. My site, in case anyone cares is

    It is still a work in progress but not bad for a couple of days.

    That seems pretty harsh, particularly today.
    This is the support forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com. As the majority of users (and volunteers) here don’t have access to the top plan and consequently access to plugins few people viewing your thread here will have the ability to advise what would/wouldn’t work for you. “Renting a vacation property” could mean anything from just wanting to showcase it with text/images (when most themes would work), or could mean setting up eCommerce/Bookings which would require a Business plan here. Happy Holidays anyway.
    PS: Googling vacation rental wordpress theme brings up loads of themes (but they may not be free).
