Theme Problem

Chiuy.wordpress.com
If you look at the picture…
The picture been cut in half?Is this purpose to be like this with the theme?
Cause, when I first uploaded the pic… it was stretch across with no cuts.
But then, I add another pic, then reupload it, there a cut in the picture. Can you get rid of that or no?
-
If you’re talking about the beautiful picture in your header (of golden gate bridge), that is the way that theme is supposed to appear.
-
You mean the picture in your header? That theme will always show it in two parts.
The only way you could change it is to pay for the CSS upgrade (but you also need to know enough CSS to make the changes.)
-
Thanks…
But is not worth pay $30 to edit a stupid CSS that is so simple…
Which cost like $0.10 cent to edit it… lol.I rather just get a real provider for $30.
Since I already know HTML, CSS, XHTML, Flash, Database, SQL, etc. lol. -
Or chiuy, you could just pay nothing by selecting a theme which doesn’t split the picture. Most of them don’t have that template design (out of those which have a photo header).
-
Actually… I like this theme very much… only one problem that it just cut the banner in half!
lol. Otherwise, it would be perfect. Beside, I like template that look professional and black like that one. WordPress is very limited on their skins and themes. Which I really hate. -
Then it would better for you to go for a self-hosted blog. In a self-hosted blog, obviously, you can do pretty much anything.
BTW, what you pay for the CSS upgrade is $15 a year. With a hosting provider, the cheapest I know, charge $6.00+ a month.
-
But that doesn’t mean is just CSS you know.
Includes HTML, CSS, FLASH, XHTML, SQL, PHP, and hella other stuff that you can do with your site without limitation. Plus u get unlimited traffic. Unlike this blog… $15 for 45 people or more. lol. -
$15 for 45 people or more?
Where did you get that from?
In any case, if such is your discontent with wp.com and its services why are you still here? And I’m not challenging you.
If you self-host your blog and really have nothing to do with wordpress (be it .com or .org) there are other excellent blogging software alternatives out there. In one of my blogs, I use Habari, and even though the current version I’m using is 0.6-alpha, that software is seriously something amazing – and IMO, its features are almost as good as what wp 2.7 has to offer at the moment.
Also, I know what you can do when you have a web server to host your site. I’m a web developer myself.
Finally, the choice is yours. If you don’t like something, you’re free to choose something else. Simple.
