theme problem for some visitors

  • Unknown's avatar

    On some computer using Explorerer the theme Misty Lake doesn’t separate the columns. The sidebar, for example, is presented after my posts, not beside.

    Is this a known problem? If so, can you recommend another Theme?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there, I see that you’ve already switched your theme to Comet.

    If you’d like us to investigate further your issue with Misty Lake, could you please take some screenshots of the appearance issue you are seeing, and pass them along with the information about the Internet Explorer version when it happens?

    Hi Jenia,
    Yes, I switched to Comet because I need a blogg that my visitors can read properly. I vill try to explain what happens;

    My additional “sides” are not presented as buttons “side by side” over the heading. Insted they simply are presented as a list of side names under each other. Under this list is the heading, followed of my postings. The widgets are not, as expended, at the right side – instead they are “listed” under my postings.

    So, simply explained, it seem that the theme could not present more than one column.

    Yes I will have your help with this – I will be able to use Misty Lake.

    Please inform me when Misty Lake works properly – I´ll like to go back to that theme as sone as possible.

    Hi there, thanks for your patience. I just wanted to confirm — do your readers use Internet Explorer 8 when visiting your site?

    If some of your readers are using Internet Explorer version 8 or older, keep in mind that our newer themes (like Misty Lake) are no longer designed for older browser versions. Content should be readable/accessible, but the design may look off due to IE 8’s lack of support for mobile-first design techniques.

    This decision was made after reviewing WordPress.com’s traffic statistics, where we found that IE 8 users make up a very small and dwindling percentage of the overall user population.

    Sorry I could not help you more, and I hope you can still find a theme that meets your site’s needs.

    OK! I understand.
    Many thanks for letting me know why the design didn´t work properly.
