Theme problems
-
Hi again.
I changed my theme to Twenty Twelve but on the home page it previews the full post rather than the summary as selected. Also, I want recent posts as selected in the Reading menu but it seems to choose the default post category – Vegetarian – from the Writing menu. I’ve changed theme back as don’t want this live.
Thanks for your help. Val -
The setting at Settings -> Reading for summary vs. full content only affects the feed. On the blog itself, you’ll need to manually split the post content: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
As for the category issue, I’ll need to see it in action to investigate, so if you don’t mind switching back to Twenty Twelve, I’ll take a look.

Hi, I’m still having problems with what posts are viewed on my home page. I want my most recent posts but it shows random old ones and puts a header, Featured Post, above it. I have set up a static page for now. Why is it doing this? Thanks.

Would you please either choose a Posts page at Settings -> Reading or make your posts the front page so we can take a look?

Hi, Have changed front page to posts. The post it displays is a year old… Thanks for your help.

Hi there, the posts that are displaying first have been marked as Sticky.
If you don’t want them to be displayed before the others, you can un-mark them as Sticky by clicking Edit next to their Visibility, as you can see in this screenshot:

Next, uncheck the box that says “Stick this post to the front page” and click OK.

Finally, click the blue Update button to update the post. The old post should no longer appear on the front page.
Just let us know if you need further help.
