Theme question.

  I have fallen in love with a retired theme.. is there a way I could get the code for that theme or no? I honestly don’t want to use any other theme but the one that’s retired.. I’m finding it hard to like any other theme! ):

  Hi Pixie – Not really, and it’s better that you not anyway, because retired themes aren’t supported, so some newer features might not work as well with them. What theme is it? Maybe I can help you find a current one that’s similar (or can be tweaked to be similar).

  It is the pool theme. It’s amazing.. I tried looking for a similar one but I couldn’t but maybe you can. Thank you so much.

  That’s actually similar to the majority of our free themes – it’s a simple two-column theme with a right sidebar and a custom header image. You can change the background to that shade of blue on many themes if that’s what you like about it (remember that most themes have a number of customization options, so the way they look in the demo isn’t necessarily the only display you can have).

  Thank you for the suggestions.. the thing I like most about it actually is the tab like tabs haha if that makes sense.. and the 2nd background so it doesnt look weird with one background.

  a) At the moment the only free and non-retired themes with tab-like menu items are Fusion and zBench.
  b) Many themes are designed like Pool (white opaque content, with a bg that shows only outside the content area). On all of these themes you can set the bg color you prefer (in Appearance > Background).
