Theme questions: retired theme & finding example of new ones

  I have returned to WordPress after an absence of several years.

  It seems that my blog’s theme, Vigilance, has been retired. Must I change the theme ASAP or is it possibly “grand-fathered-in” for the time being?

  Meanwhile, I looked at some new themes. Some theme pages have links to a couple of blogs that utilize that particular one, but a bunch do not, only a “live demo”. Searching under, say, “Reddle site:wordpress.com” is ineffective as only mentions of the word “Reddle” as discussed within blogs turns up. How do I find real examples of how the various themes are used in the blogs?

  I was skimming through the “Freshly Pressed” section where I saw 6 current blogs that utilize the “Vigilance” theme, so I guess it is okay to continue using it for the time being.

  Now, if someone could share their tip with me on how to search the WP site for sites that use various specific themes so I can see the variations that are possible, I will be appreciative. Opening each site one by one to see if it’s a theme I’m interested in is time consuming, to say the least.
