Theme reference at the bottom of my website

  Hi On my site http://www.unipodadvice.com I have small text ‘blog at wordpress theme by …’
  Initially, I thought this is going to be removed automatically after upgrade to custom design, however it’s still there!
  How can I remove it ?

  We are not allowed to remove the credits in the footer here at wordpress.com.

  How come, I’m upgraded on Custom Design, and able to customize the theme as I want, The website now has nothing to do with the original theme anymore.
