    Hi there,

We have over 200 themes to choose from, but some of our older themes have been retired due to limited functionality, and are not available to activate.

Please see our list of available themes here:

I understand this now. What is not clear is that I am trying to change to a new theme, and it has not been possible. Can you shift it to Elemin for me, or tell me why it is not working? Is the material gone and I need to copy and paste, or is it possible to transfer it over?

The next time it happens, it would be best for wordpress to let the members know that their theme is no longer functional!! An email would be helpful.

    thanks so much, mg

When you are using a retired theme, your site will continue to function, so there is no need to be notified. You just will not be able to choose the same theme for a new site.

You’re welcome to update your theme to Elemin, but that is a premium theme, so you will need to purchase it. I can see you did purchase that theme back in 2012 but then received a refund for the theme purchase. If you want to use it again, you will need to purchase it a second time.

If you prefer, we have many other themes that are free, so you might consider that as well.

The reason why I would like to change this theme is that it is no longer functional. If you look at the front page, there are two columns with half information. I am in the dashboard right now, and there is no longer any option to change the theme. When i go to the theme page, and try to change the theme, in the scrolldown, the retired page “tuning scores log” is not listed. So, I am stuck. Any advice? I think this might be because it is retired?

Happy to change to a different theme that is free:

should be fine, and once I am out of the black hole, I can try to find the right one.

Maybe you can be of assistance here. thanks

    Thanks so much!

You should be able to change your theme by going to your Themes panel on your Dashboard: http://margitg.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php

You can browse and preview themes there, or you can search for a specific theme by name in the search box.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “the retired page “tuning scores log” is not listed”.

If you look at my email, I have already tried this. When I went to change the theme from the theme’s page, I was not able to with this website. Please help out by trying this and seeing what happens. It is not very easy to explain over email and I have tried to explain this to you several times. It is not working in normal ways. I have used wordpress for several years with several sites, so am already familiar with basics. thanks, mg

Okay, I see what the issue is. Your WordPress.com account margitg is not an administrator on the blog
tuningscoreslog.wordpress.com. A different WordPress.com account is the blog owner.

If that’s you, you will need to log out of margitg and log into the other account. From there, you should be able to update the theme.
