Theme Ruined My Site

  Hello, I was gone for a year and when I came back to look at my site, the whole thing was a complete white screen. I tried to login and I couldn’t even get into the login screen for the site. I asked my host provider and they said there was an issue with the theme and asked if I wanted to get it back to the ‘default’ theme. I told them whatever can get me back into the site as it is a memorial site.

  When they did that, my entire site went back to as if it was in 2013. Pictures were completely gone, posts gone, many things were just gone. Fortunately the media is saved in WordPress and there are some pages where the content is still around, but what the heck happened? Do I have to really recreate the homepage layout again and theme for the entire site?
