Delicious Magazine Theme by WooDesigns
willowcreekinn.wordpress.comi am doing the $99 trial and thinking of upgrading and letting WordPress host our 5 star restaurant site but I must say that I am not impressed so far with support and yes I have done it all:
Posted in Premium Theme Forum, contacted the developer, contacted other theme users with same problem. Cleared my cache, i do not have any plug ins. tried rescaling the images to 650 height at developer suggested. this absolutely is WRONG and i cannot get any support. how do you expect people to sign up with you this kind of not living up to your hype going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i waited forever on the live chat thing too! i intend to go to the top at WordPress about this … i have put hours into that theme!!!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ok I was thinking of buying the business plan for $300 a year but I can’t get any help with my theme problem. Not from Woo Themes and not from WordPress. I can’t trust WordPress not to put our business at risk obviously. And yes I did post most theme problem in the Premium theme forum and contacted the author and even some other WordPress users with the same theme and same problem. Hi chattyl,
I apologize for the issues with the Delicious theme and for your wait time. I see you were able to return the purchase and receive an refund.
Since you’ve changed your theme, I’m not able to determine the exact cause of the issue, but as the theme developer suggested, the most common cause of that error is when the image’s width is larger than the column’s 650 pixels, not height as you mentioned below.
If you’d like me to reinstate the theme to test this out, I’d be happy to. If we cannot resolve your problem I’d then be happy to remove and refund the theme once again.
Please let me know if you’d like that or if you’ve decided “Delicious” isn’t the right choice for you.
I apologize once again for the wait time, but also know that as a Business customer you’ll have access to an exclusive support queue on live chat with much shorter wait times. Live Chat for Business is always available between 7am and 7pm Eastern time and has extended hours when more staff are available.
We handle all support requests first-come first served and sometimes queues such as the Premium Theme support forums can become heavy with requests. We do our best to respond to all requests under 24 hours.
Best,
-Alex G.

well an hour ago i would have thought that was great but now i am seeing that so many other themes look great on mobile. you know this the delimma these days. most people use their mobile when looking up restaurants but we are also a wedding site so most brides and their moms and planners use a laptop for this decision. so some themes look good on a mobile and some on laptop. give me another couple of hours to decide what to do and then i might take you up on your offer and i tried doing the height and width at 650 i think but anyways i really liked that theme except for the posting date and time and author being everywhere

Hi chattyl,
Using Custom CSS (included in Premium/Business) we can help you hide the date, time and author, to your liking regardless of the theme you choose.
To get a quick glimpse of how each theme looks with your current content, you can use the preview feature:
It’s faster than activating each theme and can be useful when you’re exploring several.
If you find yourself enjoying a theme but have questions, let me know here. :)
Best,

yep .. i am not activating but going through the the previews and i am currently all about the Chronicle theme and surprisingly the puzzle them for photographers… surprised to see you guys don’t offer woo themes canvas over here on wordpress and i am worried about transferring it with a plug in since i have no plug ins currently and it seems that those things will screw you and your theme over in a heartbeat .. hah hah…
also i will be upgrading to the business plan at some point and will definitely have alot of questions about getting 1&1 hosting to point towards wordpress etc. also do you know of a theme that has a great calendar of events for the sidebar other than eventbrite (which is way too expensive for what they do) if so let me know … thanks for your help. -
Woothemes has a theme called “Canvas” .
Chronicle and Puzzle both look great on a mobile
and pretty good on a laptop. -
Hi chattyl,
It’s possible WooThemes chose not to submit Canvas to our theme showcase or there may be something in the theme that doesn’t fit with WordPress.org guidelines.
You could use it on a self-hosted blog if you wish by downloading it here:

i am worried about transferring it with a plug in since i have no plug ins currently and it seems that those things will screw you and your theme over in a heartbeat
Plugins actually aren’t allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins (and 3rd party themes not available in the showcase) can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs. If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction:
do you know of a theme that has a great calendar of events for the sidebar other than eventbrite (which is way too expensive for what they do)
For this, you’d just need any theme with a sidebar (try this search), and then you can use a free Google Calendar:
Chronicle and Puzzle both look great on a mobile
and pretty good on a laptop.Let me know if there’s anything I can help with on those. :)
