[Theme: Sorbet] How to go from blog to website with static pages?

    Hello guys,

    Yesterday I think I saw somewhere that the theme Sorbet has the option of creating websites with static pages. I have it installed for my blog estudiandoenbcn.wordpress.com, but I cannot find where in the settings to go from blog to website. Where can I find such options?

    I would like something with the grid layout of http://carolinethemes.com/ – I have looked at my history for the past 24 hours and I have googled but I haven’t been able to find this info. I have a self-hosted installation that I can use Sorbet in, if such options aren’t available for wordpress.com.

    Hi there! You can create static pages with any theme. You can find instructions and more information about creating a static front page here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

    It’s worth noting that http://carolinethemes.com is a self-hosted site, running a heavily customized version of the Sorbet theme. Since you cannot edit theme files on WordPress.com, I’m afraid you won’t be able to get quite that level of customization.
