Theme Structure Image Gallery Problems
-
I am trying to add images to a slideshow, and this theme puts in a terrible box around the images. I therefore went for the gallery approach and there is no ‘next’ button area to click onto the next image. just the title of the image which for anyone not familiar will not realise. can I insert ‘next image’ buttons somehow? or is there a way to bring this area closer to the top so people will see it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If by “terrible box” you mean this:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/#additional-information
it’s just the standard design of the WP slideshow – nothing to do with Structure. No you can’t change the position of the previous/next image titles.
Yes you can insert Previous and Next links yourself, but it’s quite a pain to do this manually for every image.
Alternatives:
1) Use my workaround for changing (or hiding) the WP slideshow frame:

See here (under “Related”):

And here:
http://shongjog.wordpress.com/2010/08/23/how-to-insert-a-flickr-slideshow-in-a-wordpress-com-blog/3) Insert the images as individual images, not as a gallery, and use the nextpage tag after each image. It will produce a series of clickable numbers at the bottom of each page.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/nextpage/4) Switch to a theme that displays “previous” and “next” links, or thumbnail links, instead of image titles. The only themes that use the image titles as links are Bueno, Choco, Inuit Types, Structure, Twenty Ten, Vostok and Wu Wei.
