Theme twenty twelve: Can´t position words and images
-
Hello,
Sorry, I could not find the version of WordPress I am using, despite a Google search…
Theme twenty twelve: I have difficulty getting the correct position of text in relation to images. First I found that if two images follow each other I cannot insert text between the two. I have to write the text first, then insert the image. But I think this is solved (that´s why I have the word “text” between two images, to be able to add text later if necessary). The problem is with two images side by side: I may have it right (or almost) on the editing page (I am using the visual one, as I know little about HTML and nothing about CSS): http://jacquesjangoux.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=342&action=edit&message=10 : starting at image 10 (man milking cow), below it there are 2 images side by side of breeds of cattle. On the editing page it´s almost OK, except that the text below the 2 images and above men working in field starts in the middle, not at left. But on the preview page:
http://jacquesjangoux.wordpress.com/?p=342&preview=true
it messes up, one cow images being below the other, and all the text of the following images is next to the first cow. I tried several variations of image and text position, with no success.
Thank you for your help.

See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#alignment
The alignment icons in the WordPress editor are for aligning text; they are not for aligning images. They are used to achieve wrapping text around images on either the right or left hand side, or to display an image that’s centered without text on either side of it.
Align-left means position left, with the rest of the content wrapping around the right side of the image.
Align-right means position right, with the rest of the content wrapping around the left side of the image.
Align-center means position center, with no wrap-around (= the rest of the content below the image).
If the text beside the images does not occupy the same amount of space that the image beside it does then the text wrapping will continue and the images and text that follow will have a staggered appearance.
To prevent the staggered effect what you do is insert the following snippet of code into the Text (HTML) editor after each image/text pair:
<div style="clear:both;"></div> -

timethief, thank you for your reply. I will work on it later today, and I will let you know the results.

timethief, I added the code and it worked! Thanks! And also, thanks for the link on the Visual Editor. I had not found the second row, I never clicked on the Kitchen sink (doesn´t look like one to me), I thought some formatting options were missing.
