[Theme: Twenty Twelve] – Help with resizing column width/margins
-
Hello,
I am wondering if anybody can help me out with the following problem:
I’ve installed a theme for my blog (Twenty Twelve) and I would like to resize the margins/column widths so that more space is occupied by the blog content and less space is occupied by (for the example) the widgets on the side. I’ve downloaded the ‘Jetpack’ plugin because I understand that their CSS editor can help me achieve what I want. However, my CSS knowledge is very limited and I’m having trouble getting started..can anybody help me figure out what values I need to change/where to look for them?
Thank you all in advance!

Is your site hosted here on WordPress.com, or are you running the WordPress software on your own hosting? If this is the site in question – http://grconsulting.wordpress.com/ – it’s hosted here on WordPress.com.
Jetpack is only meant for self-hosted sites, but the good news is that WordPress.com comes with its own CSS Editor built right in. It’s available through the Custom Design upgrade, which can be purchased through your dashboard in the Store. If you purchase the upgrade, you’ll be able to add custom CSS under Appearance > Customize > CSS.
