  Which plan are you on? The free plan, or one of the paid plans? Also, which theme are you trying to add?

  I use free plan. I can’t find the add new button for uploading theme

  You can’t use/upload/install a third-party or custom theme on WordPress.com:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#uploading-custom-themes

  BTW, all the available themes on WordPress.com are here:
  https://wordpress.com/themes

  @dave2swords: It does not depend on the plan you have. In WordPress.com you can not upload themes, with Free, Personal, Premium or Business plans.

  @galois yes, that is correct, third party themes cannot be uploaded.

  However, Premium themes need to be purchased before they are available for use. That’s why i asked what plan and what theme… ;)

  Yes, purchased & activated. But no uploaded. ;)
