  Why is it asking me to upgrade when I want to install a theme?
  I already have a domain and a local host.

  I would just simple like to use a WordPress template to update my website.

  I can see your existing website doesn’t use WordPress.com or WordPress.org.

  Are you able to give me a little context or background about what you’re trying to do? Are you trying to create a new website on WordPress.com? Or are you trying to create a new website locally with WordPress.org software?

  Notably in your situation is that if you’re hosting WordPress.org software on your localhost (or other webhost), you’re able to upload any plugin or theme without restriction. With WordPress.com hosting we require a plan for those features and instead provide many free themes which do not require a paid upgrade.

  Good Morning,

  I bought a theme from envato, have a host and i am trying to update my website with wordpress, our old website is outdated etc. Would I be using the wordpress.org? That would only be designing the website and hosting it with a different host?

  If you already have a host and a domain and have purchased a theme that you wish to use, then you are likely to be using WordPress.org.

  I would suggest reaching out to your host’s support team and asking for help in getting WordPress set up on your hosting space.
