  I can’t click on the ‘drop files or click here to install’ button in the install theme page.

  You can’t install third party themes on a free wordpress.com website. To be able to do so you must upgrade to our Business Plan, https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  @staartmees is right. The ability to install third-party themes is a feature exclusive to the Business and Commerce plans.

  But that’s not to say you’re left without any options if you’re on a different plan. WordPress.com has a rich and diverse catalog of free and premium themes that are available for you right off the bat, irrespective of the plan you’re on. Even if you’re using our Free plan, you still have access to a wide array of beautifully designed themes to give your site the look and feel you desire.
