Theme w/ menu along bottom?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi all,

I’m desperately seeking a theme that has a menu along the bottom of the page, or at least the option to do this. Ideally the theme would be quite simple (almost a splash page with links), and predominately white. It would be nice to add my own bg image/s too.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I have been searching through so many galleries, but am yet to find something suitable. I don’t think I’ve found a single theme with the menu at the bottom of the page.

Obviously I’m willing to pay :)

    Thanks to all!

We need a link to the blog you are talking about.

    Hi there,

I’m not talking about any blog in particular so there is no link to give. I am doing all my testing on a home server with WP installed. As I’m just asking about themes, I didn’t think I would need to show my progress to anyone.

Then you are using the software from wordpress.ORG, and you are using themes downloaded off the internet. We can only choose from the 100+ themes that are listed in our dashboards at appearance > themes. We cannot download or use outside themes, so we know nothing about them.

You need to be in the support forum for wordpress self-hosted software which is at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ .

Thanks – I thought that we all shared the same themes ;) How do you guys put up with not being able to use any theme?!

    :)

We have over 100 themes to choose from. Theme Showcase and demo site > http://theme.wordpress.com/ We can purchase a CSS editing upgrade and change the appearance of our blogs.

Some of us are more focused content creation, functionality, and reader experience than we are on aesthetics. :) Or perhaps another way of expressing that is our preference for clean quick loading themes. As for me, I strongly prefer having clean minimalist blog theme that loads fast, and I do not have distracting sidebar “tat” that makes my blog themes appear amateurish, and draws my readers’ and minds away from my content.

Many themes here have built in customization features such as custom headers, backgrounds, background colors, and some even allow you to choose different layouts. There is also the CSS upgrade here which allows most of the customization the users here want.

The majority of people here just want to blog and although they care about aesthetics, they can usually find a theme and with a bit of hammering end up with something they are happy with.
