I activated the free Cubic theme, but my home page still looks the same. It doesn’t show the 6 boxes like the cubic them is displayed to look like. Your site is very confusing and slow to use. I cant figure out how to put information where i want it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello!

The Cubic theme displays blog posts on the front page in squares. You have a static front page for your site but the Blog page at https://editorkarolynh.wordpress.com/blog/ is displaying squares. To see an image in the square you’ll need set a featured image for the post:

If you want the home page to display blog posts – and the squares like in the demo – then you can change it back in the Customizer:

    https://editorkarolynh.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php

Select Static Front Page and choose “Blog” for Front Page.

Thanks. I figured this out after searching the forums.
It would have been much more helpful if the page displaying themes specifically mentioned that they only apply to blog posts for free accounts. How the heck are newbies supposed to known this? I want to build a website, not a blog. Plus, if the cubic theme is only for blogs, then why is there a message at the bottom of each page saying the cubic theme is present? That makes no sense.

That’s definitely a good point. I think the reason is that some people have both a website and a blog – they use static pages to display information that doesn’t change very often but the blog is where new articles are posted. In reality you can use any theme for a blog or a website – but some are better suited to one or the other.
