theme with big square on left, 3 small squares on right

    I have checked hundreds, and ther e could be hundreds more out there but the theme format I was looking for is large block on left, 3 blocks on right equal to height of left block. Top modest banner/name and several tabs underneath to point people to other pages. Needs to be sizeable for retina mac to android.
    Untold amount going edge to edge to edge, I do not want that or edge to edge across top and little ones below, not that either. Do not want flat either. Anyone know of one? Thanks

    Hi there,

    It sounds like you’re looking to have the main content of your site on the left and a sidebar on the right. Is that correct?

    I can see that the theme you currently have active, Coraline, fits the requirements you set out.

    Some other themes that have a right sidebar include Twenty Sixteen, Lovecraft, Nucleare, and Button.

    Although the left hand box that contains your post/page content won’t exactly match the height of the right sidebar, you could try to manually edit your content/add widgets to make things match as closely as possible.

    I also encourage you to have a browse through our repository to see if another theme more closely resembles the layout you’re after. You can filter based on different criteria, including number of columns, along the top:

    Hi, should have been clear but was trying to keep the request short. The large block on the left and the 3 down the side are all photos. Also I did not see this would default to referencing IntelDecision. This is for a completely different new site that highlights lifestyle and so people, rooms featured paintings, clothes etc need a tall primary picture and then the three on the right can be supporting that primary one, i.e. photos of other examples of the main photo or completely different projects. There may be a title underneath photo. and the ability to click on image to take you to the page with more information, larger view, other examples.
    There is no right bar as in text, widgets etc
    Does this help? I checked the site you have above and do not see this, it has what you thought I meant ie a bar on the side.

    Was this a theme or site that you saw on WordPress.com? I’m afraid that I’m not sure which one of our themes you’re referring to.

    Do you remember any other details about the theme? Any details, no matter how vague, would give me something to go on, such as the first letter of its name or the type of photos.

    Is it possible you were seeing a gallery within a page? More information on galleries, including examples of what they look like, can be found here:

    Hi no I have not seen one I am looking to find a theme that allows me to put the large block on the left and 3 on the right for photos.
    I have found ones and do not want ones with picture in the middle surrounded by text, big pictures that go across the entire page with out with out headers above and below.
    The title and in small letters a few tabs are int top 1/8. drop down

    Next largest picture filling up about 5-6/8 the top to bottom and 1/2 on left, i.e.minus thin border or none, it goes from one side to the centre and the three smaller are across from it. When you open the page what catches your eye is the big block, and people reading English read left to right, so it makes sense the big block is there and the smaller ones are to the right.

    Maybe this question is easier, is there one where the photos can be of any size and arranged as one wants in 3/4 of the page centred in the middle.

    I can’t think of any of our themes that exactly match the criteria that you’re asking for.

    I wonder if Canard may suit your needs? It features a larger image to the left with some smaller ones surrounding it to the right and below.

    Many of our themes also features image in three columns on the home page. You could try filtering our repository for “featured images” to narrow them down:

    Thanks, for looking. I will work on more content & lay outs, if it still seems I need a large tall image for rooms, or fashion models, they tend to be tall, I will look to see if I can get someone with more experience to create what I need.
    You have saved me time in re looking again and again wondering if I missed something.

    In terms of inserting longer images to a page, you may wish to experiment with galleries or possibly a theme like Boardwalk.
