Theme without main page
-
I am using Ocean Mist as a theme for my blog. This theme supports pages but it hasn’t got a main page tab by default. the problem is that if anyone visits a page in my blog, he cannot return to the main page (posts page). I tried to create the main page by myself but every page has to be have a new name like this: http://myblog.wordpress.com/nameofpage. I want the main page to link to http://myblog.wordpress.com/. How can I do that?

I think that regardless of theme, clicking on the Blog’s title brings you back to the “front/main” page.

But not every visitor of a blog knows that, so you can add a text widget with a note pointing that out.
To make a homepage tab, publish a new page with a link to your blog in its title box, i.e. this:
<a href="Url_Of_Your_Blog_Here">Home page</a>
(You can use another phrase instead of “Home page”, but not a single word.) -
Thank you panaghiotisadam. That’s what I have already done but it’s a double action for the visitor. I think that creation of a new page without a sub-address should be allowed by WP.

Why not just use the Pages widget? While the default is to display all Pages there, you can also choose not to display certain ones.

Xhmmmmm,….interesting idea! Thank you justjennifer. Yet, for the rookie visitor, the page tab menu is resting at the top of the blog.
