Theme& WP folders sitting on desktop…..what to do?

  I am WAYYYY over my head, but have committed for a year with host, and so have to forge through! At least want to get it installed so I can stare at it in it’s proper location!

  Where is the heck is word press supposed to end up? my hard drive?

  The instructions for instillation of my theme folder are as follows:

  Install Info

  – Upload the theme folder into the theme folder. [ URL/wp-content/themes/ ]
  – Upload plugins files to the plugin folder. [ URL/ wp-content/plugins/ ]

  Seems the massive amount of instructions are inteneded for someone who has heavy knowledge of HTML which I dont!

  Appreciate any kind /supportive words!

  For a self-hosted WP install you need to head to the WP org forums at http://wordpress.org/support/. Some one there will help.

  Thanks for the input. I’m not self-hosting..using BlueHost. Called their support line and was helped through. Can now look at new theme….now onto html!

  Blogs that are hosted elsewhere are supported over at http://wordpress.org These forums are seperate and just for this site as we’re running different software.

  Folks, we need to stop saying “self-hosted.” We got folks off of saying “hosted at wp.org.” Now we need to stop using that term as well.

  Please use “hosted elsewhere” or something simular.
