Okay most the themes that are already on here kinda… well suck. I found this theme
http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/pixeled
and wanted it as my theme instead but can’t figure out how to get working as the theme. Any ideas?

Link is standard procedure: helps us reply faster as well as make sure our answers will apply (we get a lot of wrong visits, also we often need to check things in the blog itself).

Let me add that in several themes you can change the header image, and there are a few in which you can change the color scheme.

Okay let me ask this then. Do you know of any good FREE or free trial hosts that I can host wordpress on. So I can use the theme I want. Because that’s really what Im looking for from wordpress but it doesn’t even give you the option to customize it.

Okay well is it possible to host wordpress on ripway.com
Look all I want is to be able to get that theme working and I can’t do that with the hosting wordpress.com offers.

Yes I understand. I just noted that it’s not true that you cannot customize themes in wp.com. What’s true is that you cannot load themes other than those provided.

I didn’t originally start asking about hosting. So I was in the right forum in the first place. But thanks for helping answer my question vivianpaige. I’m glad you cared more about my problem than what the topic had changed to.

Your problem has been asked and answered over and over. Asking about hosts is outside of this scope of this forum. For volunteers in the forums (and most of us here are volunteers), answering questions about .ORG is the biggest time waster we have. So it is absolutely appropriate to direct those questions away from this forum.

All I needed to know was if the hosting would work on ripway.com
Simple question. Should be a simple answer. I know this isn’t wordpress.org but I would have thought at least someone on here would have known something about the hosting.

We don’t answer questions related to wordpress.ORG. We just can’t. Staff has instructed the volunteers to direct you to the proper forum. That’s all we can do.

My first response after I got the address of your blog was what exactly happens with themes in wp.COM, because that was your original question. Your next question was a wp.ORG matter, so my very next response was the link to the Sticky that explains what happens with wp.ORG – and includes a link to the wp.org support forum. (Plus I also corrected a wrong statement of yours, because threads are here for others to consult too.) You asked about ripway after I had given you the link to that Sticky, which should have made clear to you what Vivian next said: “you are in the wrong forum for questions about hosting”. This is wp.COM: yes,”at least someone on here knows about hosting” but, simple or not, we don’t answer wp.org questions here. Stop posting here and head over to http://wordpress.org/support/ .
