Themes

Hi!
Why do you have to have a CSS Upgrade to create your own theme? Other platforms don’t require that. Maybe it’s just me, but I think it should be free to apply your own ideas to the design of your blog, especially on such a famous platform like WordPress.
And if you guys on WordPress insist to make that a privilege for those who have CSS Upgrade, maybe you should create more free themes for the rest of us, because the ones already available don’t fit all the requierements.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I agree, but it doesn’t cost that much and in my opinion it was worth the $15. Also wordpress has been consistently adding nice upgrades and they’ll add new themes. Might also want to consider that some other blogging platforms have many bugs in them.

The other thing to remember is that there are expenses to be paid such as servers, datacenters and bandwidth usage. Blogger doesn’t have to worry about that since they are owned by Google and Google already has probably hundreds of thousands of servers in tens of thousands of data centers, and they already use massive amounts of bandwidth. Piggybacking blogger onto the search engine and adsense nonsense didn’t increase their costs in the least.
