I need to change my theme so that all my files are not viewed on my home screen.
The banner is still an issue but since wordpress does not care about those that they have offended I need to know who to shift things around to get rid of it.
And for the love of all that is good you “happiness engineers” stop with the automated messages and actually listen to peoples concerns.

Can you explain what you are trying to do a bit further? I’m afraid that I’m not sure I understand.

I think @vanessavlove would like to be able to have access to her backend and modify posts/make posts without view of the rainbow banner. As the work around here does not suit her.
Sending Posts by Email might be a suitable option for you Vanessa, here’s the article: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/ however you won’t be able to view your stats or modify files from there.
If you’re after more control and the free services at WordPress.com aren’t working for you, migrating to a self hosted WordPress.org site where you have full control (including the colours in the backend) is still a great way to go.
