  I just bought a theme off of creative market for a wordpress theme and I don’t know how to download it, please help?

  A theme can’t be uploaded and installed on a WordPress.com hosted site. However, there are a lot of themes already available that you can activate. Also, with the Premium plan, you can use custom CSS to change the look of the theme.

  If you really want to use the theme you purchased elsewhere, then that involves registering a domain, buying hosting, and setting up a site using the free software from WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/

  I got the theme off of creative market and it is specifically for wordpress.com. I just don’t understand how you can upload it onto there. I have the wordpress premium. Can you walk me through on how to add it please. After I purchased the theme, it downloaded or went to dropbox. So how do I add a theme to wordpress.com from your dropbox?

  There are two different kinds of WordPress. The version on WordPress.com does not allow themes purchased elsewhere to be uploaded and installed.

  Here’s the part from themes support page about that:

  you cannot upload any themes to your WordPress.com site.

  With the other WordPress you can install the theme from creative market. However, it’s a bit more work to set up because you have to register a domain, buy hosting, install plugins and so on. More info at WordPress.org.
